I have been working in web development for almost a decade.

While skilled in all aspects of web development, my biggest interest lies in front end development and streamlining existing designs for better usability, search engine position and e-commerce sales.

Languages

  • Coldfusion

    While admittedly slower and in less demand than other CGI languages, I have come to love the look and feel of Coldfusion, as well as its portability and reusability. With coldfusion creation of new applications is a breeze, and when done right code and site maintenance is a pleasure. For these reasons, time spent building and maintaining your site or application is significantly reduced.

  • PHP

    Fast, free and agile, it's not a wonder this is the chosen language for a large portion of websites.

  • MySQL

    MySQL is like any other Structured Query Language. I work with it most often, but moving to any other is a breeze.

  • C# .NET

    C# .NET is one of, if not my favourite language to write. Because of this I'm always eager to write new little programs to help streamline my every day workflow. The time saved is passed on to you, the client!

  • HTML/CSS

    The bread and butter of the internet. I'm a pragmatist when it comes to writing my HTML, standards compliance and code minamalism top my list of concerns when deciding how to build anything. What does this mean for you? Your site loads faster and in more browsers!

  • Javascript

    The J in AJAX, Javascript is making a comeback. Personally I always believed in it!

  • Actionscript

    I've been writing Actionscript since AS1 in Flash 5. It comes second in my heart only to C#.

    I am very familiar with Search Engine Optimization best practices, as such all sites I build, inevitably end up looking super delicious for the Search Engine Spiders. I am also familiar with Search Engine Marketing practises and techniques.

  • Usability & Intuitive Design

    This combines two passions of mine, understanding the inner workings of things and automation. There's nothing I enjoy more than watching someone use a site I've made for the first time and instinctively knowing exactly how to get what they need.

  • E-Commerce Strategies

    Marketing on the web is very different from every other medium. Your prospective customers have an incredibly short attention span and even less patience. As such it takes special care to keep customers and sales on the web.
