Counterpoint Chorale

The task for this project was to modernize the design. I was tasked with completely overhauling the code, to bring the site up to speed with today’s standards. In modernizing the site, we expanded the site to take advantage of more modern, larger browsers.

For the menu we used Adobe Spry. Which allows for simple cross browser show and hide menu effects. While also allowing quick SEO friendly markup for the menu.

The Performance ads on the right were a little harder. We wanted large advertisments that looked like images and resembled the same style of the ads from the old site. While also being very search engine friendly and fast loading. I accomplished this by laying out the markup within each box and then adding a transparent clickable image on top. The result: ads that can be clicked anywhere like an image, with as much html text as possible for the search engines.
