CIUS Press

CIUS (Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies) publishes and sells Ukrainian Studies literature. For CIUS we heavily modified the OSCommerce ecommerce system to fit their needs. The site’s front end is powered by the proprietary KMI OSCommerce Coldfsuion API (CFOScom) which I created from scratch. I also designed the site, and a special caching system, speeding up

the site’s average load time by a factor of 6!

Their previous site was entirely static HTML so I wrote a custom spider in C#.NET which crawled the site and built an SQL dump file.
